Local Unit & Position Description:

DNV is seeking a number of talented and motivated Site Operatives to join our R&D team at Spadeadam.

Spadeadam R&D is a World leading full scale research facility at the forefront of implementing the green energy transition around the world today, contributing to a safer world by improving understanding of major hazards across industries. For over 40 years, Spadeadam has conducted full scale experiments to assess the consequences of major hazards and their effects on people, property and the environment. The results of which have been used to develop products, protect people and infrastructure from both accidental and deliberate threats.

The team specialise in carrying our full-scale experiments involving liquid and gaseous fuel releases, fire, explosion, product development and associated consultancy services to assure safe operations for our Global energy and security customers.

Position Qualifications:

Key Accountabilities

• Constructing and maintaining test rigs
• Maintaining site plant and infrastructure
• Testing, support projects engineers
• Work as a part of the team and interface with colleagues from a wide range of areas and disciplines
• Previous experience working in the construction or fabrication industry
• Holding a relevant CSCS Card
• Clean driving license
• Motivated, driven, eager approach to work and learn on the job
• Ability to act on your own initiative
• Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain a U.K. SC Clearance, application for clearance will be assisted by DNV
