We are recruiting a Junior Associate (0-3 years experience) to join our Energy & Infrastructure practice group.
You will be part of a dynamic, talented and multidisciplinary team focused on energy projects and energy regulatory advice and litigation. Under the direct supervision of partners and senior staff, you will handle a wide range of files in the energy sector. You will come into contact with energy law, European law, administrative law, contract law, competition law, environmental law, etc.
You represent energy companies in civil and administrative proceedings. You provide advice and assistance to clients in connection with renewable energy projects (drafting contracts, advising on permits, subsidies and network access). You advise on the operation of electricity and gas networks (access conditions, tariffs, closed distribution networks).
Are you the person we are looking for?
You hold a Master's degree in Belgian law with an excellent academic record;
You have an interest in the energy sector. Energy-related courses or additional training in energy law are welcomed.
You have min. 0 and max. 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a law firm or consultancy firm.
You have a perfect command of Dutch or French, a very good command of English and at least a good passive knowledge of the 2nd Belgian language (French or Dutch);
You are able to present some relevant extracurricular activities;
You work proactively and you are result-driven;
You are a team player and you communicate easily and effectively with both your colleagues and clients;
You are able to perform in-depth and creative analysis and to find pragmatic solutions that meet your client’s requirements;
You are eager to develop within a quality professional environment.
