Middleware Engineer
Job Description
Within a multi-skilled and autonomous Middleware & Documents squad you will :
- Be able to understand day to day activities of the team and work with developers/ops engineers to implement and fix middleware solutions
- Take an active part in the evolution of procedures & standards for all kinds of components within the squad
- Be responsible for the operational maintenance (patching, LCM, …) and the deployments of assets in your scope
- Develop and represent Operations Engineers expertise and share it with the team
- Improve the quality of deliveries by automating the deployments wherever possible
- Handle technology watch in the area of production tooling, in line with the Global Bank Strategy

Technical skills
- Excellent knowledge of IBM Websphere and MQ Series
- Good knowledge of TWS, Linux RedHat and Ansible is an asset
- Knowledge of – or willing to learn – Axway XFB/CFT
- Relevant experience in scripting (Perl, Python, Bash, etc..) and Windows Server is a plus
- Basic knowledge of Service Now, Confluence or Azure DevOps/ Azure Boards will be a plus as those are widely used within ING
Experience
- Training level : Master or Bachelor degree in IT
- Experience of +5 years in an Operations Engineers team is mandatory
