At Robinson we specialise in the production of HGV trailers and cranes. We are looking for an extra mechanical engineer who would be interested and self motivated in the design of such products. You will need the following experience:
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the engineering team to design and develop HGV trailers and cranes
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and legislation
- Create and interpret production drawings, including schematics and electrical/hydraulic systems
- Utilize SolidWorks for 3D modeling and design
- Perform FEA analysis and prepare detailed reports
- Generate BOM (Bill of Materials) for production
- Optimize nesting and machine programming for efficient manufacturing
- Take full responsibility for the workings of the engineering department
- Follow established processes to deliver all work to a high standard and within specified timelines
Experience in a similar or related field (agri/quarry/plant machinery)
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks with an excellent command of the software
- Experience with FEA analysis and preparation of comprehensive reports
- Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems in the context of machinery design
- Proficient in reading and understanding legislation relevant to the industry
- Familiarity with production drawings and ability to create accurate schematics
- Understanding of nesting and machine programming, with the ability to optimize these processes
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to deliver work to high standards
- Flexible with excellent time management skills
