About the opportunity
We're looking for a Sales Cadet to join our sales team, based at our fresh produce market in Whakatu. In this entry-level sales role, you'll have the opportunity to learn from an experienced sales team who will share their industry knowledge and support you to be T&G's next sales superstar!
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop your skills in pricing, quoting, and negotiation
- Build relationships with growers, customers and colleagues
- Support the Sales team to create quotes and promotions
- Enter and process sales orders in SAP
- Once you’re up and running, manage your own small portfolio of products and customers
This is an interactive sales role on our market floor which is open for trading from 5.30am. You’ll also get out and about in the region visiting customers at their premises. The early start means the afternoons are yours to enjoy! Due to the nature of our industry, flexibility is required for rostered weekend work.
This is an exciting opportunity to kickstart your career in sales with a market leading company. We see this role as a development opportunity to progress into a Sales Specialist role in the future, and we'll give you all the support and training to get you there.
