Our gallery is seeking an General Worker (Art Handler) to join our team. The candidate will handle, store, maintain and display our art inventories in our exhibitions and previews both in our gallery spaces or off-site. Besides the candidate will also maintain the high standard of cleanliness and display in our gallery spaces.
Responsibilities:
- Pack and unpack artworks and do condition check on the artworks.
- Move and install artworks both in the gallery or off site.
- Maintain our art inventory, ensuring that works are kept in prime condition for our gallery exhibits and auction previews.
- Perform general cleaning duties to upkeep the cleanliness and tidiness of the gallery spaces.
- Perform basic carpentry, electrical, painting and repair work necessary. Perform any additional work that is deemed appropriate for the running of the gallery spaces.
Requirements:
- Able to converse in English-Mandarin Chinese or Bahasa Melayu/Indonesian.
- Of fit stature and able to carry reasonably heavy artwork.
- Well-acquainted with technical tools. Logistics experience will be advantageous.
