Our new business segment Power Solutions are offering power systems and products from low to high voltage. This includes subsea substations, full hydropower electro-mechanical packages, control systems, and condition monitoring solutions for all renewable markets. We develop hydropower solutions, including expansion of existing technology, internally and through partnership. As part of our offerings, we deliver mid to large scale manufacturing service with associated engineering, ranging from R&D to defined products.
Our Supply Chain Department in Power Solutions is looking for QS/Supplier Lead. We are building a Supply Chain Department almost from scratch, setting up an ERP system with processes and procedures while building a quality supplier base to be able to deliver our services to the global market. Our aim is to build a first-class Supply Chain department to ensure we deliver on our commitments and exceed our customer’s expectations. You will develop and have ownership of QS process in Power Solution including setting and monitoring performance objectives.

What will you be doing?
- Responsible for QS in Tenders, communicate and involve required stakeholders
 - Responsible to contract 2nd party inspection companies and follow up inspections performances and invoices including claim
 - Make sure adequate competences is available and used when utilizing 2nd party resources
 - Responsible for identifying internal and external quality training
 - Responsible to ensure that inspection is performed according to Aker Solutions and project requirements
 - Review non-conformity on material where inspection have been conducted to establish preventive actions
 - Follow up and report on KPI’s
 - Participate in QS network across segments and other global networks to add value and optimizing the QS process
 - Drive and implement improvements initiatives, including Supplier Quality Improvement programs
 - Ensure that QS budget is established for projects
 - Monitoring the performance of suppliers; drive “zero-defect” awareness
 - Ensure and drive high-quality RCA and 8D competence at assigned suppliers
 - Validate that supplier preventative actions are mitigating known defects
 - Participation in Supplier audits, where required
 - Actively contribute to meet targets / KPI`s for the regional team
 
We think you should have:
- Manufacturing/engineering or business/commercial degree. Relevant experience may compensate for lack of higher education
 - Solid understanding of quality control & quality surveillance principals
 - Competent leadership skills within own organization and in key interfaces
 - Building and operating international departments/activities
 - Continuous improvement / LEAN
 - Able to manage Client contacts, discussions and expectations with regard to QS service
 - Team leadership experience
