- Creates LUNs.
- Creates Storage Groups (Parent and Child).
- Create any pools if required.
- Defines FA ports for each host.
- Performs LUN masking to FA ports.
- Verifies the installed array configuration.
1. PowerMax Host Provisioning
During this part of the engagement, DT Services:
- Performs a review of Customer-collected and supplied information on the host and storage environment.
- Completes an analysis of existing host data collected, documents any required changes to hardware, software, or firmware, and provides the list to Customer.
- Downloads and batch processes Grabs and generates a report.
- Performs analysis on non-Dell storage data collected.
- Develops Fibre Channel storage network design and requirements.
- Develops open system hosts design and requirements.
- Provides a review of SAN design developed during a prior engagement or earlier in this engagement.
- Conducts a deployment review meeting.
- Zone all Fabrics (Physical and/or Virtual).
- Configure SAN Network devices as defined in the Deployment Plan.
