Interior Designer Internship
Limited contract: 12 months period, 8h/day
We are looking for an Interior Designer Intern to join our Cluj Workplace Design Steelcase team to help us create meaningful solutions for our most important customers and strategic projects. In this, we are searching for someone passionate about interior design, a creative and enthusiastic person with a passion for workplace design.

What You Will Be Doing:The Workplace Design team’s mission is to help win profitable business in EMEA illustrating how
our solutions fit the customers’ space by:
- Translating client needs and Steelcase insights into solutions and applications that help them create better workplaces and a more engaged workforce.
- Creating deliverables that differentiate us from our competitors and set new standards that are recognized as the benchmark for our industry.
- Main scope will be to support interior designers with renderings for thought-starters, space plans, concept designs, applications, animations, for our most strategic opportunities and accounts.
- Working closely with design team members based in Cluj and Munich, helping them create the final deliverables and presentations.
- Partner with the Design Consultants in the delivering of client workshop output materials, assuring consistency of responses, reflecting market trends & needs related to product solutions.
- Prepare basic space planning, working details, and 3D representations for products, settings and interior room perspectives.
- Partner with our EMEA sales teams as required with design and product applications.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of company products, services, culture, history and research.
- Scale our internal tools and resources and help us to constantly improve our capabilities as a team.
- Build relationships with the internal and external design community.
- Help foster a strong and supportive team culture and peer learning.
Your Future Team:
The Workplace Design team has 22 members who are involved in international projects for EMEA region. They are participating in the tender process and are influencing the decision of the customer to choose Steelcase.
Who You Are:
Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, UX Design, Exhibition Design or a similar domain.- Minimum design experience in interior design, industrial design or CAD environment.
- Able to synthesize and translate client needs into design concepts.
- Able to grasp the business aspects of Steelcase in terms of approach and product specifications.
- Team oriented working style.
- Ability to work on multiple assignments and effectively manage time and priorities.
- You are a strong and empathetic communicator - able to express yourself clearly through words and drawings.
- Ability to handle project information in a structured manner.
- Excellent command of English, German or French skills will be a plus.
- You have visualization (CAD, PPT, Adobe Creative, sketching) and presentation skills.
- You are naturally curious - you like to learn (also new software – p.Con Planner).
- You enjoy and seek out multicultural working environments.
- Enclose your portfolio to show your work, projects from university etc.
