Hiring for an English Tutors who could work at an English School in Seoul, South Korea
A flight ticket from your hometown to Seoul are provided.
Housing in Seoul is provided and if you would like to find housing yourself, please let us know in advance. Health insurance and Korea's retirement pension will be credited monthly at 50% + 50% of you and the school.
The contract condition is 1 year + 1 year (option). You would work 5 days a week (Monday to Friday) evening. Those who are interested in this position will have a virtual meeting (Zoom or Google Meeting) to get more detailed information from each other. Please send your resume and head letter by Email. It is better if you have reference letters. The day of Starting in Seoul will be in November 15, 2023.

1.With regards to Overtime, how will that be compensated (hourly rate)?
According to the contract, it is KRW 25,000 /per hour. (USD $19.17)
2. Is there income tax in Korea for foreigners?
Yes, you have to pay Income Tax. It is 3.3% tax deduction from your gross amount.
3. How long preparation time will be needed outside of school working hours? (e.g. Grading Papers, Creating a Lesson Plan, etc.)
There is a 50-minute class with a 10-minute break between 2 and 3 to prepare for class.
There is about an hour a day.
It depends on the teacher's ability, but it is usually solved within working hours.
During the first three months of the probationary period, it takes time to prepare for classes, but other than that, the textbooks are repeated, so there was no complaint.
4. What grade level and proficiency at English will my students have?
There are many students who just want to listen without speaking in English , so their English speaking is not fluent. However, the instructor guides the students to speak in English in easy English as much as possible , and they have to teach only in English .
5. How many students will be in each class?
The School rules are 8 people. However, each class is different, so each class is different from 3 to 8 people.
6. Will there be holidays or breaks in which to travel? If so, when?
Red days only. Substitute holidays or election days are worked. Vacation is given to foreigners for a week after 6 months in summer or winter. However, it is given almost during the vacation schedule, not on an individual schedule.
8.. Although I use a desktop computer at home, will I need to purchase a laptop computer?
There are all laptops in the academy, but it seems that foreigners are more comfortable carrying their own laptops. I carry it even though I have it.
