About the position
The Research Assistant will undertake research activities in line with the University’s research strategy. It is expected that the Research Assistant will work with an increasing degree of autonomy as skills and experience develop.

Project Overview:
1. Title: Effective Employment of Lived Experience Workers
Chief Investigators: Associate Professor Lena Wang and Professor Louise Byrne

This is an ongoing research project that broadly involves understanding the effective employment of lived experience workers in a variety of sectors and organisational contexts. This project seems to gain insights into system, governance, as well as human resource management issues to attract lived experience workers in organisations and to support their ongoing career development.

Key Accountabilities
  • Conduct literature review of policy documents in the area of lived experience workforce
  • Contribute to the development of research proposals and research questions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Proven exceptional writing skills

To be successful in this position, you’ll have as a minimum:

Key Selection Criteria
1. Prior knowledge and experience in the development of the lived experience (peer) workforce
2. Substantial prior experiences in working with government and industry
3. Identification as Lived Experience leader and prior employment in designated lived experience informed positions
4. Ability to work autonomously whilst displaying a strong commitment to work with project team leaders.
5. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage varying workloads and respond to changing priorities as required.

Qualifications
Master and above in the relevant discipline area
