✅ Is that you?
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript with 4+ years’ commercial experience
- Experience in data extraction
- Familiarity with system monitoring/administration tools
- Proficiency in techniques and tools for data crawling, extraction, and processing (Node.js, AWS, Elasticsearch, Docker, ETL processes)
- Solid database expertise (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- Strong knowledge and practical experience with AWS, including creating environments
- Excellent self-organization skills
- Upper-Intermediate English level
Desirable:
- Familiarity with Regular Expressions, XPath, Headless Browsers
Key responsibilities and your contribution
In this role, you’ll use your skills and expertise to contribute to the maintenance of the existing data pipeline and applications, ensuring seamless and efficient flow of data for company’s continued success.
- Extract, ingest, and parse data using Node.js
- Fix scraping, traversal, and parsing bugs of multiple auction house websites, including sites that lack structured data or have complex or outdated setups
- Make necessary adjustments on the client’s side when and if there is an update on the side of the auction house website
- Help improve crawl and scrape analysis, reports, and data management
- Conduct data and scrape testing to ensure accuracy and quality
- Take ownership of identifying and rectifying any issues and scaling scrapes as needed
- Create and optimize processes, tools, workflows, and resilient data architecture for web content scraping
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of data acquisition processes
