With the Gardening busy period fast approaching, come and join the team at Mitre10 Crofton Downs. We are looking for the right person who is passionate about all things garden related, your gardening passion may come from time in your own back-yard or you may have undertaken horticultural training, either way you will enjoy helping customers select plants, dry goods, fertilizer and garden accessories, giving the customer the complete gardening solution.
This role is situated in our Green Garden Department assisting customer with their plant needs ranging from seasonal vegetables to perennial flowers, fruit trees or native plants, giving advice on the right planting media to use.
For this position we are looking for someone who has:
- A passion for exceptional customer service
- Excellent communication skills
- Good time management and a willingness to learn
- A quick and alert mind with the ability to adapt and be flexible
- Ability to work individually and as a team member
- You will need to be physically fit as heavy lifting will be required.
This is a fixed term role to support the garden team through the busy Spring/Summer period from September till end of February 2024. This role is for 24 hours per week, Thursday – Saturday.
