About the role:

This role is responsible for developing and implementing the Air-Conditioning and Heating category strategy across the business to achieve product optimisation.

This includes ownership of key elements of the marketing mix, including product range management, pricing and margin maximisation, promotional planning, brand impact, key supplier relationships (in collaboration with Supply Chain & Procurement) and market share growth.

Your key areas of responsibility and accountability will include:

  • Developing and maintaining a category roadmap that supports the overall business strategy and consumer behaviours.
  • Be the owner of ‘category knowledge’ – developing and providing key relevant metrics, competitor profiles and strategies
  • Analysing data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends regarding the product and category
  • Managing pricing and promotional optimisation
  • Managing the category contribution to margin
  • Involvement in all NPD projects as the Category lead

We are looking for a senior level Category Manager with:

  • 6+ years Marketing/Product experience, ideally in a technical category.
  • Experience in Category, Product Management, Consumer Marketing, Sales and Buying
  • Advanced Excel, modelling, PowerPoint, Navision, and CRM experience (required)
  • Commercial mindset with full comprehension of marketing and sales principles
  • An ability to work closely with R&D and across all areas of the business to coordinate product management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative style
  • Experience in Manufacturing and Installation industries (preferred)
