Responsibilities:

  • Designing and improving recipes.
  • Measuring and combining ingredients and using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to make baked goods, such as pizzas, bread, etc.
  • Monitor food stock, maintain supplies and place orders as and when required.
  • Utilize less traditional ingredients to engage a larger audience.
  • Prepare pizza dough, pizza ingredients, chop vegetables, etc.
  • Decorating and displaying finished products.
  • Testing ingredients and finished goods to ensure that each item meets food safety and quality controls.
  • Cleaning and restocking workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication, time and resource management, and planning skills.
  • Attention to detail, especially when performing quality inspections on ingredients and products.
  • Proficient with preparing and baking pizza dough.
  • Familiar with all professional kitchen equipment (e.g. brick or stone oven, dough sheeters, etc).
  • Outstanding understanding of food safety practices and hygiene.
  • Working experience in preparing ingredients for fast food quickly.
  • Excellent team spirit with a customer-focused attitude.
  • Flexible to work in shifts including weekends and late evenings.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment.
