Responsibilities:
- Designing and improving recipes.
- Measuring and combining ingredients and using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to make baked goods, such as pizzas, bread, etc.
- Monitor food stock, maintain supplies and place orders as and when required.
- Utilize less traditional ingredients to engage a larger audience.
- Prepare pizza dough, pizza ingredients, chop vegetables, etc.
- Decorating and displaying finished products.
- Testing ingredients and finished goods to ensure that each item meets food safety and quality controls.
- Cleaning and restocking workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized.
Requirements:
- Strong communication, time and resource management, and planning skills.
- Attention to detail, especially when performing quality inspections on ingredients and products.
- Proficient with preparing and baking pizza dough.
- Familiar with all professional kitchen equipment (e.g. brick or stone oven, dough sheeters, etc).
- Outstanding understanding of food safety practices and hygiene.
- Working experience in preparing ingredients for fast food quickly.
- Excellent team spirit with a customer-focused attitude.
- Flexible to work in shifts including weekends and late evenings.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment.
