What the role is
The Strategic Planning, Research and Development Group (SPRG) drives the strategic planning process to help MSF advance its mission and contribute to the whole-of-government strategic objectives.
The Data Governance Office (DGO), under SPRG, drives MSF’s data strategy, formulates data governance policies/ processes and builds data capabilities within MSF.
The Combined Analytics and Visualisation System (CANVAS) is one of MSF’s key digital initiatives to achieve the overall transformation goal of a forward-looking, citizen-centric social service system that provides timely and robust interventions in a sustainable manner. CANVAS will eventually serve as the “first stop” for social service sector data, providing an integrated view of the client and the support rendered in the form of services/programmes over time for analytics purposes and to serve OneMSF system’s data needs.
You will be part of a cross-functional workgroup to drive the planning and development of CANVAS.

What you will be working on
Your job scope includes (but is not limited to) the following:
- Engage stakeholders to understand their requirements and work with IT vendor to translate users’ requirements to system design
- Perform user acceptance testing and ensure that the system is developed in accordance with users’ requirements and within project timelines
- Design interactive visualisation dashboards to support users’ analytical needs
- Train and onboard new CANVAS users
- Analyse impact and coordinate with IT vendor to address technical issues

- Skillsets in data management and/or data science (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, R, Python, SAS), preferably with some experience in IT project management
- Meticulous with keen eye for details
- Good stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
