PRODUCTION PROGRAMMING SUPPORT (PS)
Qualification and Work Experience
- University degree in Engineering or Science or any other technical discipline
- 5 - 10 years working experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
- Candidate MUST have previous Oil & Gas experience in any of the following: Production Programming / Production Technology / Production (Field) Operations/IT.
- Candidate MUST have excellent computer skills and be versatile in the use of Microsoft Office Suite of products (including Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Outlook) and very analytical.
- Role requires robust IT capability and previous experience in RTMS, PI, EC, Power BI, FieldWare and particularly PU and FWWT will be added advantage.

< 55 years.

Roles and Responsibilities
Production Programming ensures that the asset meets sales commitments (rate and quality), injection targets and optimizes short-term cash flow. This involves the near real-time to short-term scheduling and optimization of production, disposal and injection rates with due consideration for well and reservoir management, facilities, technical integrity and HSSE issues. Specifically, the Production programmer will include, but not limited to:
- Support the Senior Production Programmer in driving Daily Production Reviews and performance analysis and presenting optimization opportunities to the WRFM and Asset teams.
- Support the Senior Production Programmer to manage and drive improvements in IPSC, Deferment Management, Production Data Quality and Well Test Compliance.
- Monitor for normal / abnormal conditions in production / injection availability and well stability. Investigate any production performance deviations and with appropriate specialist support recommend corrective actions as required.
- Validate all production/injection and waste disposal volumes for reporting, utilizing FWWT/EC/PU to capture / validate well test data.
- Validate all well test results in Energy Components within 48 hours of verification by Field Operations team in Energy Components, taking into consideration Programmers’ 5/2 working cycle.
- Drive monthly review of well sample BSW and update of same in Energy Components by 6th day of the following month.
- Ensure production deferments are properly booked daily, and all unproduced volumes are accounted for against IPSC.
- Perform deferment analysis in view of identifying bad actors and recommending actions to restore.
- Provide updated well potential/test result data for all wells on the IPSC and circulate to relevant Field Ops teams. Also provide a creamed list of all wells by FGOR and by BSW.
- Make input into and participate in formal well and field reviews with Production Technologists and /or Reservoir Engineers at least quarterly, highlighting current field performance, activities, threats and opportunities.
- Contribute to ST-IAP process. Provide all necessary well & facility production data required for short-term production forecasting.
- Identify and follow up metering discrepancies and pursue improvements in oil, water and gas measurement.
