Brand Manager Beverages: Carbonated Soft Drinks, Energy & Hydration - Gauteng [South Africa]


 

Responsibilities

  • Beverages Strategy Implementation for multiple countries
  • Assist with the development of long term Brand Insight & Strategies
  • Lead brand and land brand promise, brand vision, brand position, brand architecture with bottlers and their agencies to achieve the overall business and brand goals.

    Lead short term Annual Operating Planning with bottlers
  • Lead implementation and execurion plans with bottlers
  • Provide feedback to GBG and sector on all support plans, including UCL, general brand equity programs & music programs
  • In collaboration with bottlers, manage agencies in the development of communication to deliver on brand KPIs
  • Lead and support the development and execution of local thematic communication (where applicable)
  • Support development of annual insight plans to support Brands strategy development and strategy performance tracking
  • Manage and administer brand budgets with approved levels in line with agreed Annual Operating Plan
  • 3 Year JBP/AOP Plan Execution
  • Support and align with the Senior Marketing Manager on the Brands JBP and Annual Operating Plan development
  • Develop brands marketing strategies and implementation plans with bottlers to facilitate business unit growth
  • Design, implement, and facilitate annual marketing plan
  • Alignment of plans with the bottlers across markets
  • Implementation of annual marketing plans
  • Bring the strategy to life
  • Support delivery of Beverages results: volume-revenue-nopbt and share.
  • Ongoing monitoring of brands performance vs. plan; proactively propose corrective actions if necessary
  • Communicate marketing support plans to franchise and internal team, monitors execution, seeks feedback and post evaluates results of support plans.
  • Manages the innovation / renovation process for Beverages
  • Brief and assist development of brand bottler campaign; e.g. ATL, BTL, grassroots and sampling events, sponsorship and consumer events.
  • Own brand look and feel and aesthetics.
  • Liaises with partners (creative, media agencies etc.)
  • Circulates all brand support, packaging, etc for legal / regulatory input
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Project management: Coordinate and lead the marketing, research & development, operations, insights, finance inputs in the project management process in collaboration with commercialization team
  • Lead the joint business planning process on Beverages with respective bottlers
  • Strengthen capabilities & leverage organizational capabilities
  • Transfer capability & knowledge to bottler teams
  • Liaise with Senior Marketing Manager on developing programs and best practices to share
  • Take responsibility for personal growth, functional performance and development objectives
  • Global Control Standards
  • Ensure Global Control Standard compliance at all times (financial management)
  • Follow SOA in creation of PR’s, PO’s & GR’s

Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ degree and relevant experience in FMCG
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in marketing
  • Ability to collaborate and operate within a matrixed environment
  • Working knowledge of communication planning, consumer engagement and IMC management
  • Ensuring communication mix is in synergy with brand strategy
  • Strong analytical ability and problem solving skills
  • Stakeholder management and engagement
  • Financial acumen
